Erik’s extensive experience across all areas of the hotel industry spans over 25 years, beginning as a front desk clerk in Jackson, WY, to the purchase and repositioning of the hotel as a cornerstone of its community. His journey showcases a profound understanding of hospitality and a dedication to social impact.
As the co-founder of Eagle Point Hotel Partners, Erik has overseen $700+ million in investments, focusing on creating internationally recognized independent hotels known for their responsible practices. His hotels have been celebrated and awarded by industry leaders and publications such as The New York Times, Travel & Leisure, Architectural Digest, and Hotel Design, showcasing their innovation and impact. As a founding partner of the Independent Lodging Congress (ILC), he has also created a platform that unites independent hospitality professionals in exploring new ideas and industry-changing conversations. With extensive experience at top firms in hotel real estate investment, including Ramsfield Hospitality Finance, JLL, and HVS International, Erik has managed and overseen investments in over 100 hotel assets globally, valued at over $2 billion. Erik has served in Cornell Hotel Society’s advisory board since 2000.
Erik holds a BS in Hospitality Administration from Cornell University.
