J. BRUCE TRACEY
Professor, School of Hotel Administration, Cornell University
Bruce brings more than 30 years of experience in hospitality, with extensive teaching and research expertise and a focus on building diverse and inclusive teams. He is the Kenneth and Marjorie Blanchard Professor of Human Resource Management at Cornell’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration. He teaches human resources and organizational management courses to audiences across the world.
Bruce’s research covers diversity management, effective managerial behaviors, and training in hospitality, critical for the development of ethical, and sustainable practices within the industry. Bruce has conducted research and consulted with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Worldwide, and Marriott International. His expertise has been cited in the New York Times, Bloomberg, Forbes, USA Today, and Fast Company. His work is published in numerous leading academic journals worldwide.
Bruce holds a BA in Psychology from Colorado College, an M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from St. Mary’s, and a Ph.D in Organizational Studies from SUNY Albany.
